After negotiation and bidding period, we won the contract of HR Planning and Performance Management Project of a Tibet state-own firm. Finished project preparation work, eventually we went on the journey to Tibet.
It is beyond imagination, to work with Tibet firm to design performance management system and find way to solve their problem of lack of talent through effective HR planning. Before we began work, we guess some problem plague client, such and confrontation between Han and Tibetan, because just two years ago there were separatism sabotage in Lhasa.
When actual we began project diagnostic work we found that the client company was in so much need of skilled workers and competent office staff, and we wonder why there are no skilled worker and competent staff. During interview, all participants told that after 3.14 separatism sabotage in Lhasa, some employee for sake of safety move back to mainland and left company, among them not only Han, but Tibetan . Although they have tried their best to recruit mainland graduate student, the situation remain unchanged, because graduate student need some time to be competent in certain position and mainland student feel reluctant to work in Tibet. Actually, we found no contradiction between Han and Tibetan, but, for ordinary people, the desire to compete faire and openly are strong. We also found that no matter how complex the situation is, the passion and the motive to create is so strong, that no one can restrain.
When we finish the diagnostic work, we get something more than diagnostic report, but the deep understanding of Tibet and the people who live in the remote, which create Tibetan Buddhism and Potala Palace.
